LANE DANTE
born Rouen, France |
Lane's mother was a French socialite and heir to a vast family fortune. Lane's father, in his own right was a self made man, of sorts. His fortune was acquired by the establishment of a string of convenience stores his father and her grandfather started in India through which her father eventually amassed enough funds to purchase numerous wineries in France to form Dante's Family Vineyards. Lane's mother and father met while he was "shopping" for vineyards.
Lane was an only child and very content in her own world. One would often find her singing in the garden while picking a bouquet for her mother's dinner table when only 3 years old. |

Lane's parents enrolled her in an elite all girls school where even as a youngster she was very popular. It was here that she became best of friends with Delilah Morin, another debutante in waiting. Their lives together would start off as a wonderful friendship only to decay into a self righteous indignation of Delilah's making.
As young children Lane and Delilah would often be mistaken as sisters, an eventuality that would confound and upset Delilah.
Lane remained a happy go lucky soul and shied away from any form of confrontation. She always obeyed her elders and displayed a higher wisdom in her actions although this wisdom wasn't actually thought out in advance. It was as if she was guided in her life to make the right decisions and she always displayed empathy for the down and out never once considering she might be superior regardless of her station in life.
Although she displayed altruistic values and ideals Lane was not ignorant and understood when someone was using their status or lack of to promote themselves.
She loved life and everyone in her life....even the spiteful vindictive Delilah. |
